‘IT: Chapter 2’ Details

The Clown Returns

New Line Cinema

Details have been released regarding the cast and release date of IT: Chapter 2!  I feel pretty good about the actors chosen to play the adult versions of the seven main characters, especially the inclusion of Bill Hader and James McAvoy.  Jessica Chastain as the grown-up Beverly wasn’t a surprise, and serves as proof that being a red-head in Hollywood has its perks.

It’s set to be released September 6th, 2019.

While Summer brings beach balls and sunburns, it also brings outside movie shows.  Food Truck Cinema has events coming up in Concord, Fairfield, Santa Rosa, and Roseville.  Live music, beer gardens, food truck munchies, and films shown on a big (portable, decent-sized) screen.  Films that will be playing in Roseville at the Woodcreek Golf Course include: Shrek on July 21st, Lady Bird on August 18th, Avengers on September 15th, and The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 27th.

Halloween Sequel: A Peek Is Around the Corner

Blumhouse Productions

The first cut of the largely anticipated sequel to Halloween will finally materialize in approximately six weeks, sources say – which means a teaser is not far behind.

Written and directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Danny McBride, the forces behind Pineapple Express and Your Highness, the film takes place forty years after the original.

Yes, Jamie Lee Curtis is returning as Laurie Strode and yes, Nick Castle is returning as Michael, aka The Shape.

Set to be released October 19th!

The Next Tarantino – “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Just when you thought your reservoir for gratuitous violence was almost empty, news of the new Quentin Tarantino film comes to light!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set to be released in August 2019, and so far the cast includes: Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and, not surprisingly, Zoe Bell.  It will take place in 1969 Los Angeles, and follow a television star (DiCaprio) and his stunt double (Pitt) as they navigate through La-La Land.

DiCaprio’s character happens to live next door to Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie has been rumored to have been cast for this role), and while it’s not for certain that that will be the center-point of the film…one can almost be certain that it will end in a cultist bloodbath, with QT himself playing Charles Manson. This is all speculation, of course, but what more can you expect from a Tarantino film?
